It might help to narrow down a bit what you are looking for.

First off, do you already have the graphic design work done or do you need
that done? If you need that done then what you really need is a graphic
designer and they will be able to recommend places to do that actual
production work.

Second, do you have an idea as to what type of sign you want? There are lots
and lots of options from hand-painted to CNC carved to digitally printed and
on and on. What type of sign you want will determine what sort of
sign-making business you deal with.

David Scott, in Wendell, MA.  He has a home-built three axis CAM machine
that uses a router to carve letters into wooden signs.
