[Hidden-tech] How can clueless client update website

I would use Drupal for this. Editing every aspect of the site can be made to be edited through an interface. Each interface is either out-of-the box, or made possible with an add-on or custom module. If you get into custom modules, however, the site development can get expensive.

You should also be able to do this job with Wordpress or Joomla, with add-ons or by writing custom plugin or components.

There are user group meet-ups for the CMSs regularly and you could likely learn a lot by bringing you development questions there.
