[Hidden-tech] reducing gmail tips

Good question.

Apparently the answer is that Gmail doesn't have a good way to do this.

Common sense says, delete as many messages with large attachments as you
can.
So, open the 'All Mail' and search for example on has:attachment wmv
Select all and delete and repeat for other well known potentially large file
extensions.

Alternatively, you can connect to Gmail via an IMAP client like Outlook or
Thunderbird and deal with files from there.
Here's some tips.

hi hidden techers,

I am currently using 6823 MB (90%) of my 7576 MB alotted by gmail. Anyone
have a good workflow recommendation on how to greatly reduce all the gmail
that has piled over the last 6 years or so...

I went to my oldest messages and deleted a bunch but did not make 1% of a
difference. yowza...
