[Hidden-tech] Running Wires on Telephone Poles?

One of my customers has a couple buildings about 100 yards apart 
and 5 telephone poles apart.  We'd like to run a high-speed 
data cable from one building to the to other; the most obvious way
would be to attach it to the poles.

Does anyone have experience in doing this?  Know who to contact
at Verizon about renting space on their poles?
