There are a lot of good sources for royalty-free music. I'm sure I haven't even scratched the surface as far as what's out there for download sites, but I recently used www.catooh.com for a video project. Maybe I got lucky, but I found a couple of very good tracks for what I was looking for in just a few minutes. Video example is here: http://vimeo.com/14849218 The tracks were $19.99 I believe for professional non-broadcast use. Well worth it in my case. There was even a 2 or 3 dollar price for the same download for personal use only. Anyway, Catooh, like many others, is a re-seller of many contributors from around the globe. They also sell (and buy of course, on a consignment basis) stock photos/images and video footage. So other content creators might want to check it out. Also somewhat local is the Fresh Music Library. Based in New Hampshire as I recall, but one of the partners/composers lives here in Hamp. I used one of their tracks from an old CD on the previous year's video of the same thing (the same link will get you there, scroll.). Well, just thought I'd share that since good music (and good voice-over, too) is so fundamental to the overall impact. It's great to know these resources are out there on an as-needed basis, and at low cost when small budgets couldn't afford it the old way. More and more of the video software comes with customizable tracks that you can layer and play with. Ive only experimented a little and got some nice background music out of it. But you might prefer pressing the download button and getting a polished thematic track ready to go like I did. Have fun with it! Hi Everyone, I'm creating a series of videos, and I am looking for a source of short 15 - 30 second audio clips that I can use at the beginning of my videos. I want something warmly uplifting. Does anyone have any recommendations? Btw, these don't have to be free audios. I'm happy to pay for the use of the clip.
