[Hidden-tech] Public speaking

I agree - and moreso.  There are additional skills you'll pick up, of  
which the most important might be how to present an evaluation such  
that the person is likely to hear what you're saying and learn from  
it.  Ever want some experience organizing a conference?  Running  
meetings on schedule?  Mentoring?  Those opportunities and more are  
available, though some require going beyond the local club.

Although clubs follow the same basic materials and guidelines, they do  
vary in many ways so if you're near multiple clubs, try out more than  
one and see which is the best fit.  (And often clubs love guest  
speakers, giving even more opportunities for practice)
