Dear Read - This size monitor might be a little hard to find as surplus. I certainly encourage anyone who is "trading up" to make such a donation to pvsc. In the event you have difficulty locating such a unit in the next few days I can also point out that the chains (Target, Walmart, Circuit City... now online) are all slashing their prices on flat-screen LCD's between now and the 29th of November. So if you can also directly solicit for money donations, a 32" is presently selling for somewhere around $400 or less. Perhaps you'd have success getting targeted donations? For instance at the moment Circuit City has a Sony Bravia 1080 32" for exactly $400 with, I think, free shipping... and with many lesser brands' a 1080 32", or 32" 720p's, are selling for less. A gift of $400 or two of $200, etc. Michael Cerulli Billingsley (ngakpa k. jigme tonpa - Salmon Falls Sangha, Brattleboro) = Straight Arrow Recordings = Location Recording - Sound Design - FX/Sound Solutions C104 The Cotton Mill, Brattleboro, Vermont office 802-254-3975 ~ studio 802-254-3975 On 20 November 10, at 7:19 PM, Read Predmore, Ph.D. wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > 20 November 2010 > > Happy Thanksgiving everyone! > > The meditation center that I belong to (pioneervalley.shambhala.org/) is looking for a large (greater than 32") flat screen monitor or HDTV that could be used to show programs from a DVD player or from the video output of a laptop. Does anyone have such a monitor to donate or know someone who might make a donation or have a VERY good deal? > > We are a tax-exempt charitable organization so any contribution would be tax deductible. > > Thanks, > > > Read Predmore > _____________________________________________ > > Predmore Associates > > Stellar Solutions to Your Technical Problems > > 413-549-8554 > South Deerfield , MA 01373 > www.PredmoreAssociates.com > read at PredmoreAssociates.com > _____________________________________________ > > _______________________________________________ > Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net > Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net > > You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. > If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members > page on the Hidden Tech Web site. > http://www.hidden-tech.net/members -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
