[Hidden-tech] Creating simple videos

Heather,

A lot will depend on your computer.  If you have a Mac, everything you
described could be done with iMovie, which comes with iLife (free or
relatively minimal cost).

I know there are some similar things for Windows, but not quite as nice to
work with.  You may still be able to make do with something like Windows
Movie Maker (also free).  Up from there are more professional solutions like
Adobe Premiere or Final Cut on the Mac (Express is pretty cheap).  There may
be other mid-range stuff too, but you should have a free option on either
Mac or Windows.
