[Hidden-tech] LinkBuilding.Net

[Fred Levine]

Has anyone heard of an outfit called LinkBuilding.Net? We were approached by
them to place an advertising link on our homepage for a major retailer. In
return, we get $20. The pitch, however, sounded suspect to me, and their
website doesn¹t really identify who they are. Apart from that, I¹m not sure
that linking out does anything to help our page rank, etc. Any advice would
be appreciated, since the whole SEO thing is still somewhat mysterious to
me.
