[Hidden-tech] suggestions needed for a relational database - Many answers - please only new information

Many good answers:

For servers I'd vote for mysql
And you might try the database component in Open Office - it is an open 
source system, very desktop friendly like MS Access.

The big question is do you need online access - with this project you 
might want various people entering the data,
and that argues for online.
