Netbooks are adequate for Internet, email and word processing, but not 
too much more. They ahve the great advantage of being extremely small 
and lightweight, which may be important when traveling.

You can also get a refurbished IBM/Lenovo T60 with Windows XP Pro for 
less than $350 directly from IBM, including tax and shipping.
