Director of Web Content and Online Services

 

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) is seeking to fill the position of
Director of Web Content and Online Services in its national office in
West Springfield Massachusetts. Based in West Springfield, Massachusetts
the Foundation is ranked in the top 1% of Supportive Philanthropic
Foundations in the United States.  This newly created position will
manage the image and web presence of the Foundation and its signatory
programs over three interrelated websites. 

 

Responsibilities: 

*	Counsel and facilitate management and stakeholders on
identifying and prioritizing web needs, developing implementation plans,
and evaluating outcomes.
*	Help ensure alignment between the various HGF programs and
offerings and their online presence and service delivery
*	Identify new and creative opportunities to add and enhance the
delivery of online services to HGF constituents to improve operational
efficiencies
*	Serve as "Project Manager" for all web initiatives, including
creating budgets, timelines, resource management, and staff
participation
*	Create, implement, and monitor standards for web content
including image, style, and relevance ensuring a consistent web presence
with the highest standard.
*	Manage content including functionality, workflow, language,
style and imagery guidelines, production, freshness, accuracy, and
timeliness
*	Support and train managers and staff to decentralize web
maintenance and sustain high quality.
*	Proactively identify new ways to market the Foundation through
the web and to utilize sites to support program efficiency and the
organization's missions. 

 

Skills:

Knowledge of: HTML, CSS, and other common programming languages are
necessary. 
2-3 years of web program management and web maintenance. 
Excellent writer - with good understanding of writing for a search
engine optimized website. 
MS OFFICE skills required. 
Prior SEO, SEM experience highly desired. 

Photoshop and Flash knowledge a plus but not required.
