I have a client that uses Kerio firewall (now called "Kerio Control"), which will run on XP just fine. It also runs on unix & linux. My client has a computer dedicated to this function for security purposes, but it doesn't need to be anything high-end. It just has to have 2 network cards. It uses its own VPN client , which is an easy download and install. The client is free, the firewall software costs a few hundred dollars and is fairly easy to set up. Their support is excellent. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to talk to someone, and I've never talked to anyone who wasn't very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. http://www.kerio.com/products I bought it for them through Tony Lawrence, who's also great to work with and can help you set it up http://aplawrence.com/Kerio/ -Reva David Korpiewski wrote: > ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > I'm supporting a small office that is now moving to a different office. > The problem is that all the partners that own the business want to > work from home and access their data which resides on a server at the > new location. > > So in a hurry I need to get a VPN router that works well.
