[Hidden-tech] Twitter app recommendation - and a request and a mountain bike question

Hi Andrew.....

Go to Twitter Search

http://search.twitter.com

search the same way you might on Google, or use the hashtag (#) in front of the term or organization acronymn.

Also, Google is incorporating real-time Twitter results. So, if you do a Google search on a term, it will also pull up the most recent related tweets. Bing is doing something with Tweets as well, but I can't remember what it is.

Everyone's trying to incorporate real-time Twitter and blog results now, as these are seen as part of the 24-hour news cycle. Google and Microsoft are leading the way at the moment.

Thanks to everyone for your responses and sound advice.

It seems like both HootSuite AND TweetDeck are the most popular.

My take is that TweetDeck seems better for viewing multiple twitter
conversations and that HootSuite is better for posting to several
social networks from one interface.

I think HootSuite fits our needs better. I look forward to interacting
with y'all in those other forums in addition to here on the HT listserv.

REQUEST
Can someone teach me how to find other twits by subject? For example, I
want to read about socially responsible investing; what do I do? Where
do I search? What is the acronym?

HT ROCKS!

Andrew

ps: If anyone likes to mountain bike, I try to go 1x/wknd near Amherst
MA and am always looking for new people and new trails - TWEET ME :-)
