Hi All,

Some of you may recall that last year about this time we ran a little thing called PodCampWesternMass.

Well, we're back again this year!  February 6 at Westfield State College, Horace Mann Center, 333 Western Ave, Westfield MA 01085

For those of you unfamilar with what a PodCamp is, it is an ad-hoc conference on not just podcasting, but on all things social media (or that's how we run it out here.)  Sessions are run, basically, by anyone who believes he/she is qualified to run a session.  Topics can range from starting a blog to how to manage your various social media profiles to podcasting and video.  This year there may also be a session or two on citizen journalism and how to either start a site or how to add that kind of content to your business blog (we're still hashing the ideas out...)

It would be great to see some Hidden Tech folks at the event!  there's a wealth of information in this group and would love to see some of you share your expertise.

Hi All

We wanted to let all you geeks out there that we are hosting our first Ignite! talk in Amherst next Tuesday night and you all are invited!

You may ask, "But Baer, what's an Ignite talk?"  Well, Ignite is a series of 5 minutes speed presentations on topics ranging from 'What does Twitter Have to do with Democracy" to 'How to Hack a Mountain', any topic that someone's passionate about.  Imagine you had 300 seconds in front of an audience drinking beers & wine and all you had was a slide deck that you were not allowed to control as it auto-forwarded every 15 seconds.  What would you do?

Ignite: Enlighten Us, But Make It Quick.

Our first IgniteAmherst will be a set of valley tech start-up entrepreneurs presenting on the crazy shit they are most passionate about.  Come on out and join us, drink some beers, see some old geek friends and meet some new ones.  Oh, and get enlightened while you're at it...
