[Hidden-tech] Data Recovery - Seagate External 1TB HD

Thanks to all those who replied to my inquiry!

Unfortunately, all components that *I* could possibly work with (cable connections, etc..) are stored within the inner HD casing (w/ disc itself) - so it looks like I will end up using
http://www.drivesaversdatarecovery.com
which was recommended by
http://www.greenearthcomputers.us/
out of Amherst... (and this discussion list!)

Thanks again to all,

- Sean McKernan

Remove the drive from the case and either install it in a machine or another external enclosure.  Just a note:  ExtHD's that allow you to stand them on end are asking for it.  I would NEVER stand a drive up like that, unless it was REALLy secure, bookended, or tied down...

Hello!

Seagate 1TB ExtHD - Tipped over, now won't power - just a quiet beep every 3sec - lots of recently acquired data...

Any recommendations???

Thanks in advance,

- Sean McKernan
