My experience since getting a reliable VoIP company has been better than the
MIL with POTS right across the road, she was without phone for 4 days last
year.
Think about it, if cable goes down the whole neighborhood will be out on the
streets complaining, a few phone lines, who cares. TV, internet and cell
phones mean more to the modern world than a dial tone !!!!
