For those who'd like to know the fees they'll be charged, Verizon has apparently started charging an extra $10 monthly fee for new "multimedia" phones on family share plan phones. That is, where they used to charge $10 monthly for a non-smart phone addon line, we're getting billed another $10 fee monthly, I forget the exact description of the charge but it certainly wasn't spelled out, with a pretty simple LG ENV 3 phone, and it really doesn't give you any services that we couldn't get on the last generation of phones we weren't billed extra for. Suggest you ask for a printed copy showing all charges you'll need to pay on a new contract for any service provider's contract before you sign the contract, if the fees matter. Just when I thought I had cut back on phone costs (thanx to suggestions here PhonePower is great) and on TV (Roku Box) and was looking forward to lower monthly costs.... <theme from Jaws rises> My old Sony Clie Palm device died. It seems all the PDA gizmos these days are smartphones which require an internet access plan from Verizon. I'm figuring if I need to configure and learn a new device it might as well be an upgrade in technology. I found a Droid upgrade for $50, but it adds a $30 up change to my monthly VerizonWireless bill. Ideas? Suggestions? FreeStanding PDA's worth using? Comments on the Droid? Other approaches that are less expensive? Commiseration? Thanx David -- !B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!! B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!B!!
