"Strengthening" your signal isn't really possible just by adding  
another router.  It may be useful to you to locate the second router  
on the other end of the house, closer to a window, in the attic,  
etc...  in order to get a strong wifi signal where you currently have  
a weak one.  In this case you'll want your second airport to act as an  
ethernet->wireless bridge.  I believe this can be done right in the  
setup utility, and airport will handle all of the routing for you.   
You WILL have to run an ethernet cable to the second airport from the  
first.  Another option is to use the second router as a wireless- 
 >wireless bridge, but this may not be possible "out-of-the-box":  it  
is a rare feature in most wireless routers with stock firmware, but I  
think it can be accomplished with some knowledge+alternate firmware on  
devices such as the Linksys WRT54g.
