Greeting lurker-Doug, et al, Interesting idea and responses. This would preclude the client from having access to their own Google profile since the code snippet would have your Google ID in it, correct? Unless you wanted to have more than one code snippet with different IDs in the site files. I've never tried that so I don't really know if one can have two snippets... I don't necessarily think this service is unethical, since as Seth pointed out, Google loves people sharing their data and technology, at least in mashups and stuff. Heck, they're giving it away for free. While Analytics can be configured to send out alerts for specific data types related to your profiles, the alerts seem to be based on reaching (or not reaching) some kind of a threshold. So some kind of a alert that had specifically targeted items of use to certain types of clients —non-tech types — could be really helpful and convenient, imo. But I'd also like to give them access to the full data if they wanted to check it out. Wonder if any other firms are already providing this service automatically?
