  Thanks Dan Tiffany and Tom
Since you had such praise for evernote Daniel, i have sort of stopped
working with onenote, though as time allows i should go back and give it
a better run through. I found one annoying thing with evernote is that
its hard to view other evernote accounts if youre using more than one
(from the desktop software). thats the thing holding me back from a paid
account. Looks like onenote will do this better with multiple notebooks.
in anycase I have (evernote) client software on ipad, blackberry and pc
and it works really well. using one for music/band stuff and one for
technology and work stuff. helps me sift through which technologies i
want to invest time in, etc.

I came across this thread that talks about a new app that will allow
you to sync your onenote data from an ipad,
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=855561

the forum conversation comes to the same conclusion we have here.
evernote: more clients, cloud based, onenote: great in many ways, tied
to windows and webview only (and now ipad according to the article).
