Hi, all,

Since the topic of health insurance comes up regularly on this listserv, I
thought some of you would like to know about a rally on the Coolidge Bridge
on Wednesday at 4:30 pm that is designed to show Sen. John Kerry that people
in MA want him to support a public option. Here are details:

WHAT: Citizens from across the Pioneer Valley will participate in a ³We¹re
Counting On You² rally to encourage Sen. John Kerry to stand up for the
inclusion of a public option in any health care reform package to be passed
by Congress. Banners and signs will encourage passing motorists to honk
their horns in support of a public option.

WHY: Important votes are pending in the Senate on health care reform.
Progressives all across the country will hold public rallies in the next few
days to let their U.S. Senators know that large numbers of citizens believe
the inclusion of a strong public option is essential for real health care
reform. This rally and others across the state will show Senator John Kerry
that Massachusetts voters expect him to stand up and be counted in favor of
a public option.

WHERE: Coolidge Bridge, Route 9, Northampton

WHEN: Wednesday, October 14, 4:30 PM

WHO: The ³We¹re Counting on You² rally is organized by local members of
MoveOn.org.

CONTACT: For more information, please contact Pat Fiero, 413-367-2890,

Best,
