Similar issues for me. I LOVE my iphone 3G, but service has definitely not been as good since the summer. Not as bad as described below by Stephen, but have noticed voicemail delays and less bars, and slower 3G access. AT&T's service quality has diminished significantly since the 3GS came out last June (2009). The number of dropped calls has skyrocketed, I often cannot get a call through even when I have 4 or 5 bars, surfing the Web is usually slow to unusable, getting e-mails is sporadic and responding is even tougher. Yes voice messages are often delayed for many many hours. I spend quite a bit of time during the summer in Southeastern Massachusetts and the service there is absolutely horrible. Many times worse than here in the Amherst area. I strongly suspect the AT&T network is swamped and will be for some time. I even got AT&T to refund my account 50% for the past 3 months and release me from early termination penalties for my contract. I love phone, hate the carrier. I am strongly considering dropping AT&T and going to Verizon for basic phone service (just phone, no data plan). I would keep my phone since it is a great tool for keeping my calendar and contacts (among other things) and it syncs smoothly with my Macs at home. I am sort of hoping the iPhone is opened up to other providers as Apple is doing throughout the world. Until that happens though, I would expect the service on AT&T to be very very substandard. Hope that helps, Stephen
