I once did exactly that in a rental home in Easthampton. ;-) After looking at the various holes in the ceiling for plant hangers, I surmised that I could hide a small smooth hole in the corner that would never be noticed. I color matched the cable and set it neatly in the wall corner up to the ceiling. Landlord came through on occasion over a couple of years and never noticed or complained. Gave me network throughout the house in the days before wireless. --------------- Chris Hoogendyk - O__ ---- Systems Administrator c/ /'_ --- Biology & Geology Departments (*) \(*) -- 140 Morrill Science Center ~~~~~~~~~~ - University of Massachusetts, Amherst <hoogendyk at bio.umass.edu> --------------- Erdös 4 mark at techeffective.net wrote: > The hard part is getting your partner to agree to the hole. : ) > ....The rest is a just short run of Cat 5 between floors, sounds like > no walls involved so no boxes and wall plates in the mix, just a hole > in the ceiling and floor above.
