Hi all, Great news for those seeking free advice on admissions and financial aid for college or grad school, whether for you, your child, grandchild or spouse. Caryl Rivers, eminent BU professor of journalism at BU's School of Communication, is available for private consultations. She has taught over 2,000 students over the course of 35 years -- not to mention authoring 14 books (fiction/non-fiction) -- and has a great deal to say about admissions and inadvisable college choices made on location, following a buddy or boyfriend/girlfriend, or even bowing to over-achieving parents who want Ivy League schools or a kid to attend their own alma mater. Of course, our own Theresa Leary of Theresa Leary Consulting in Florence, has offered free advice at two sessions (see below) to those who want to know everything about college admissions and financial aid in this country and overseas (one of her specialities. Many college advisors work the same turf in the U.S., but don't have Theresa's vast overseas experience. Not only was she admissions director at the Free University in Brussels for over a decade, but has traveled throughout the world on behalf of an international economic forecasting company based in Brussels. I fill out the team with my career/business-building experience. As you probably know, I specialize in helping college grads and adults transition to being virtual company owners. We are seeking others experienced in admissions/financial aid counseling, the SAT essay prep and career development to add to our already fabulous team (if I may say so, myself).
