I'm not sure if this topic is appropriate to this list, but I'm going to
risk it...

Do any of you have good suggestions for websites, listservs, etc. through
which Rural Development, Inc., a non-profit builder of near zero net energy
affordable homes, could advertise our upcoming lottery for low and middle
income buyers for the Wisdom Way Solar Village in Greenfield? We need to get
the word out soon, both locally and statewide (southern VT also). The
deadline to apply for the May 15th lottery is May 1st!

Our project is a 20 home development of 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes built to
extremely high energy efficiency standards. We are one of five contenders in
the Massachusetts Zero Energy Challenge. Homes are all accessible by people
in wheelchairs and our two rentals are fully accessible. Two homes will be
sold for market rate prices. The remainder are being sold to low and
moderate income buyers.

Because of the way we are funded the low and moderate income homes must be
offered through lotteries. We have 10 homes available for the May lottery
plus one remaining house to be sold on the open market with no income
restrictions and not through the lottery. The other 9 homes are under
agreement.

We want to let people know about this opportunity and also emphasize that
many people qualify as officially low or moderate income who don't know they
do! For example, a family of three is considered low income if they earn
less than $55,900 annually, moderate income if they earn less than $76,780.

I'm hoping some of you will have suggestions of social networking groups,
listservs, newsletters, etc. that might want to spread the word.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!
