You could also consider pointing your friend to a Mac OS emulator. Here's
one for PC...

> our current emulators run about 90% of all System 6, System 7, and Mac OS
8 compatible Macintosh software.

Subject: [Hidden-tech] Legacy Mac needed for ca. 1986 music software app.

Hey there,

A musician friend is looking for a Mac to run an app. requiring Mac System 6

The comment below is directly from him-I don't know what the heck he's
talking about. But he's a kind, brilliant guy who helps other people all the
time.

Looking for a Mac to run an app. requiring Mac System 6
"6.0.7 was the last version of that OS, and I still have install
discs)--but I have no Mac here at the studio which can run anything before
System 7).

Anyway, so I'm looking for a Mac Plus or Mac SE, or even an SE30, I think,
can also run System 6.0.7. If that can, then it would mean that a Mac II
or IIcx could also run it. I forget the exact system vs. computer details.

I'm trying to run Opcode MidiMac Ed/Lib for the Oberheim Xpander v. 5.4--in
an attempt to turn the clock back to 1986 and load in some of the cool
sounds I made on that synth back in the day)."

Any help is greatly appreciated it.

Thanks,
Dan Green
