Hi Susanna,

Do you have a local server or web server available at your place of
business? The state-of-the-art for software developers use is currently
a free product called Subversion. It has lots of support, a web and a
windows explorer integration interface and is easy to use. This product
will do everything and anything you need for version control, keeping
track of all changes that you wish to record. If your using the mac
there is a plugin that integrates with the finder and will provide you
with what you need.

Contact me if you need more information or if you need help installing it.
