[Hidden-tech] re: Hidden-Tech Spring Social This Thursday, June 4, 5:30 to 8:00 pm

Hey folks-

I wanted to send this out to the discussion list 
to make sure you were aware (and cordially 
invited!) to the last Hidden Tech event of the 
spring season: our social event at Bishop's (event details pasted in below).

As I reflect on the last year of Hidden-Tech, I 
see, as usual, many projects unfinished and many 
things that we could have done better. All of us 
on the Hidden-Tech board are aware of the 
imperfect nature of our organization. 
Fortunately, we count our "wins" not in 
perfection but in the positive connections made 
between group members and the spirit of community 
we attempt to foster. I do want you to know, 
however, that the board is a very dedicated group 
of people who are in it for the long haul. I 
expect us to have some web site related 
announcements over the summer, but for those of 
you who haven't made it to an event, or haven't 
made it out in a while, I hope you'll get this one in before our summer break.

To me, the real purpose of our organization comes 
to light at these gatherings. As much as we might 
be tempted to idealize life in the valley or the 
different kind of success many of us are working 
towards, it is not easy. At least it's not for 
me. I'll bet you'll get something out of putting 
on some comfortable shoes, and maybe a fun shirt, 
and joining us out on the Bishop's deck.
