Thanks Robert :) Oh. Mr Green. That could work. However, you should know - Once I tried to sell him my old G4 tower which was perfectly good. He would only take a donation. He connects entering foreign students with computers. On another note, I decided that the designjet was not really paying for itself. My main use for it is large format comps. for clients. When I need a lot of printing, I use a service bureau or a copy shop. For a couple of large format prints I would have to spend a lot of $2.50s to justify a $1200 printer, not to mention 4 cartridges at $40-50 a pop. I'm a HP freak. I'd like to see what you think of this one on their website. HP Officejet 6000 CB051A#B1H http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/product_detail.do?hpweb_printable=true&product_code=CB051A%23B1H&storeName=storefronts&landing=printer&category=Officejet&tab=accessories I'm looking for a printer with good color work, that can handle a variety of papers, not necessarily a laser. I realize that there is no such thing as an extended warrantee for a printer like this, but look at the price. I'm going to try to "chat" with sales rep to see why this one is on sale. I think it is reasonable that a printer that doesn't have to churn out hundreds of copies should last at least 3 years. I don't want to find out in a month that that there are no drivers. What else would you ask the rep? thanks Robin On Jul 31, 2009, at 10:10 AM, Robert Heller wrote: > At Fri, 31 Jul 2009 07:43:48 -0400 Robin MacRostie <rmacr at choreographicdesign.com > > wrote: > >> >> MIME-Version: 1.0 >> >> ** Be sure to fill out the survey/skills inventory in the >> member's area. >> ** If you did, we all thank you. >> >> >> >> >> >> ---Executing: recode >> The point of this post is in the paragraph below.
