Linda, Framemaker has been around for a long time. It is (or was when I used to use it, at least) a very capable page-layout program. It had a pretty steep learning curve, though. I suppose that anyone who survived the learning curve would be reluctant to "throw away" all the time spent gaining proficiency with the program and might, as a result, hang on to it longer than might otherwise be the case.
