oh, for those of you who are crafters, Webs Yarn's also tweeting:

a quick tip if someone you don't know follows you: read their twitter stream and see what they've got to say.  if it's people who are full of links back to their own stuff, they're probably wanting to use your audience to build theirs.  kind of creepy, IMO and you are not obligated to help forward their "personal brand message."  I don't follow them, although they are fine to follow me.  

However, an unknown follower could be someone who knows your work, that you don't know *yet,* so then it's up to you if you want to follow them.  I like to know there's a person there as well, so I look at links, and any other profile info.  When there's sufficient info for me to see there's a person there, I will return the follow.
