I think trademark is the protection you're really seeking. Copyright is for intellectual content (a brownie recipe, a software program, a song), trademark for brands.

  Hi folks...

  Anyone have info about copyrighting your own name? Since that's one of my 'brands' there must be straightforward ways to either copyright, trademark or servicemark it or all of the above.

  Have any of you done this? Do you know pros / cons of either approach? Is there a DIY process for filling out the paperwork?
