[Hidden-tech] transferring a file/folder from a win 98 PC to an XP PC

The easiest option at that point would probably be to take out the hard 
drive and put it into the new computer.  You mentioned PCMCIA, which I 
assume means you have a laptop and probably going to a new laptop.  The 
option that would probably work best for you is to borrow or purchase an 
external case for a laptop hard drive and then take down the data that way.

Something like this, but for circa windows 98, you'd need a PATA 
interface one instead of SATA.
