How old / dead are the computers?

*Some* of us can use computers that are far from bleeding edge. 
Generally speaking, things like motherboards, processors, and memory
lasts forever (does not really 'wear out', short of being abused).  Hard
drives and power supplies can be replaced cheaply enough and keyboards,
mice, and monitors can be done without as well (if one is interested in
'server' or 'embedded' uses).
