[Hidden-tech] recording audio over telephone

I'm not sure this will solve your issue or not, but I use an Olympus
WMS-300 to record my phone interviews. I simply place it on the desk
and it has stereo mics that pick up even low-volume conversations
quite well.

It creates Windows Media files (which also play in QuickTime on the
Mac) and what I love is it has a built-in USB connector, so it
connects to your computer for easy file transfer without worrying
about a cord.

It goes for around $100 at Staples.

Whether it gives you the broadcast quality you need I can't say, but
I could certainly see using it for embedding recordings into a blog
entry or something like that if I needed to.
