Results depend on the keyword. Also, there is a lot more traffic in long-tail keywords than in trying to rank for single keywords. A good SEO campaign can help bring traffic for thousands of new keywords. Those kinds of results generally take 6 to 8 months though. - Josh (Former SEO consultant)
