I have an external USB FDD that claims to be able to read "double 
density" (720K in the PC world) 3.5" disks.. but I have no idea what 
it would do on a Mac..

I'll ask my daughter the Mac Addict (um, excuse me.. "Certified Apple 
Product Specialist") and see what they do if they run into this at the store..
