Stacy,

If you're looking for a desktop based solution (software you install  
on your computer), I can recommend iHateSpam by Sunbelt Software (http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/iHateSpam/ 
).

I have a couple clients using it and they really like it... easy to  
use and very effective.

You could also think about using Gmail to filter your email as their  
spam detection is top notch.
