Kosmos Webmaster:

Kosmos Journal is looking for a committed Webmaster to join in Kosmos’  
mission to create a conscious and sustainable planetary civilization  
and world community.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of existing Web content ensuring  
production, editorial, graphical, and content standards are at the  
highest possible quality, and sustain navigational ease.
Troubleshoot, test and perform quality assurance checks to ensure the  
Web site is functioning properly; ensure proper functioning of e- 
commerce functions and all site forms.
Create updates/changes to reflect the latest issue of Kosmos Journal  
twice yearly. Responsible for coding, and maintaining content of the  
website following established design and architecture guidelines.
Quickly respond to content needs/changes/updates as they arise.
Work with external vendors to further develop site and make  
recommendations when technical needs arise.
Passion for exploring new technologies such as web content management,  
portals, media streaming, blogging, webinars and discussion groups for  
use in creating our online presence.
The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, highly motivated and self- 
directed, excellent attention to detail, a strong passion for the web,  
and have solid quality assurance skills.
Ability to raise issues/concerns is a must.

Qualifications:
2-4 years experience as a Webmaster, Web Designer or Web Developer
HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Big Medium, MIVA Merchant
Thorough knowledge of Internet communications, Microsoft Office  
products, PC and MAC environment
Excellent communication, and organizational skills
Background in nonprofits, a plus
Experience with implementing content management systems a plus
Knowledge of XML or Flash a plus

Compensation:
                 Based on experience.
