I think I recall someone discussing on this list a service called "Flyer Girl". This was a local business that would post flyers around town? Does anyone recall this or know more about it? I second that. This is a great new business that deserves our support, and I have found their service very helpful. Alan, I would suggest that you call or visit Ink Solutions in Amherst or Northampton. They're great with troubleshooting, and can also refill your ink cartridges for about 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of buying new. If they suggest that you need to clean the print heads, that is something I did with great success with their advice. If your printheads are located in a separate tray underneath your cartridges, you can remove them, and completely immerse them in a bowl of Windex over night. Any dried ink in there will get dissolved after several hours, and you can just rinse it all under the tap, wipe it dry and plunk it back into your printer. But if that is not the problem, they can still most likely help you out. To my more-tech friends, I have a Canon i9100 printer that I've enjoyed a lot for a few years. Recently I started getting a nasty message that "the used ink tank was almost full" and I should do something about it. Canon says I need to take it to a Canon Service Center to be cleaned out, but the nearest ones seem to be in Pittsfield or West Hartford. Since the printer is well out of warrantee, and the task seems reasonably simple, I'm wondering if there might be a local service provider that could take care of this. Any suggestions? I'll appreciate any help on this a lot. I'm into uncomfortable withdrawal with my Photoshop addiction. Thanks!
