[Hidden-tech] Retreiving lost book marks using Mozilla Firefox

System Restore restores the registry and system files, it should not 
affect the Firefox bookmarks, which are stored in your Firefox profile 
folder under \Documents and Settings\[yourname]\Application 
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[profilename], where [profilename] is 
usually something like "default.xxx".

If you are running Firefox 3, the bookmarks are stored in an sqlite 
database called places.sqlite. For earlier versions of Firefox, it is an 
HTML file named Bookmarks.html. Firefox makes backups of your bookmarks 
database regularly in a subfolder of the profile folder named 
bookmarkbackups. Check to see if you have that folder and if it contains 
any backup files from before your system restore. These will have the 
extension .json for FF3.
