Thanks Tom, but I need to convert digibeta to DVD ultimately.  Digibeta is:
a high-end tape format, as I understand it
(http://www.mediacollege.com/video/format/beta/digital-betacam.html).
The drives to read the tapes are usually over $15,000 (
