Andrew,
You may want to consider changing email addresses to start fresh and be
sure to have a private email for direct communications and an alias
email or other address for listing on your web site or registering
anywhere on the web.
I also have high recommendations for Mozilla Thunderbird and the
spam/junk filtering capabilities that come with that free and open
source email client.
Beyond that... At GAIA Host, we have a good anti-spam system with virus
blocking. It is trainable and learns pretty quickly if you take a
little bit of time to tell it what is spam and friendly. We also have
filters above that layer that take the majority of blatant spam servers
and spambots out of the picture entirely.
