Hi Amy,

Open ID  doesn't correlate to how many comments you get.  That has more to do with whether or not people want to comment.  And a Jakob Nielsen found, it's only about 1 in 10 readers of *any* media site that leaves a comment.

So, don't worry about low comments on your blog.  

As for Open ID--Rick's right in what it is, and lots of people like it (I think it's a great idea--really cool.)   When posting comments on Blogger, it gives options of what digital identity you'd like to use.  Some people like to use their Open ID while others want to sign in on their Blogger accounts and others want to remain anonymous.

When you go in to post on your blog, make sure the little circle by Blogger ID is clicked.  You'll see a little spot in it. that's how you'll know.  You may have to sign in to blogger--using your username and id--but that's just to verify that it's you.

Hi folks,

I just got tripped up on Blogger trying to post a comment back to a 
reader on my blog.

It asked me how I wanted to respond and OPEN ID came up. In fact, 
none of the selections made any sense to me as I so rarely get 
comments on that blog.

Can someone help?
