Breaking through:

 it-enabled business opportunities event

Springfield, MA - April 1, 2008 - The Regional Technology Corporation
(RTC) is pleased to announce that its Technology Enterprise Council
(TEC) network will be holding a business focused information technology
event on Friday, April 11th from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Baystate Health
Education Center, 361 Whitney Avenue in Holyoke, Massachusetts. This
educational and entrepreneurial event is just the first in a series of
events focused on information technologies in the region for 2008.

Paul Gillin, award-winning writer, former editor-in-chief of
Computerworld and founding editor-in-chief of TechTarget, is the morning
keynote speaker. Mr. Gillin will be available to sign copies of his
latest book, The New Influencers: A Marketer's Guide to the New Social
Media.

A panel discussion will follow with regional Executives from such
companies as Comcast, MassMutual, Inherent and Court Square Group.
Together, they represent the biotechnology, financial services, and
communications sectors and will be discussing IT-enabled business
opportunities in their industry sectors. These "senior" companies are
already working with the latest information technologies which they will
share with attendees. TEC expects this format and its participants to
provide business opportunities for technology companies in the region -
regardless of size.

"Our intent with this program is to help the region's technology
companies of all sizes to identify new IT products that will help to
stimulate growth. We believe companies attending this event will walk
away with at least one useful idea or tool in order to take their
company to the next level," added Gordon F. Snyder, Jr., Executive
Director of the National Center for Telecommunication Technologies
(NCTT) and Chair of RTC's TEC network.

The April 11th event is $15 to RTC members and $50 to non-members.
Advanced registration is required. The first 40 paid registrations will
receive a free copy of Mr. Gillin's book. Contact Suzanne Parker at
sparker at rtccentral.com or 413-755-1301 in order to register for this
event.
