[Hidden-tech] Web URL hijack

You can avoid Verizon's error page by using a free DNS service such
as http://www.opendns.com/

You get some nice features with OpenDNS, like typo correction,
shortcuts and even the ability to customize your error pages. Get
your own branded error pages! That'll show Verizon... :-) Not to
mention the DNS resolution speed improvement.

I use OpenDNS because their DNS servers update much quicker than
Verizon's. Relying on Verizon DNS, I would make a DNS change and not
see it reflected by Verizon for days. With OpenDNS the change is
almost instantaneous after the authoritative DNS server accepts the
change. This means I can move a web site to a new server, change the
DNS record and see the results usually within minutes. It also makes
debugging DNS issue a lot easier.
