I regularly read 2600 mag. A similar problem with Paypal has been documented on more than one occasion: If someone complains to paypal about a purchase, Paypal retains the right to, and has recovered the payment by dipping into the associated bank account, to the point of causing an overdraft. I don't know how accurate this is, but I don't think I would allow overdraft "protection" on an associated bank / paypal acct. One more point about PayPal. I have an account linked to my bank account, which is mandatory if you want to take credit cards on Ebay. Last month, someone starting posting false debits to my PayPal account. Despite the fact that my PayPal balance was zero, they nevertheless starting transferring money out of my bank account to make the payments. I never use my bank account to make payments from PayPal, but there is not way to specify this in your account. The problem was eventually corrected and the money transferred back, but it seems like one hell of a potential nightmare to me. > ** The author of this post was a Good Dobee. > ** You too can help the group > ** Fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. > ** If you did, we all thank you. > > > At Wed, 07 Nov 2007 09:09:28 -0500 A - Z International > <az at a-zinternational.com> wrote: > >> >> ** The author of this post was a Good Dobee. >> ** You too can help the group >> ** Fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. >> ** If you did, we all thank you. >> >> >> Hi all, >> >> If anyone operates a PayPal business account rather than a personal >> account can you tell us whether the upgrade is worth it.
