David, I think the movie was "2010" from A.C. Clarke's follow-up book to" 2001; A Space Odyssey". Do I win anything? Both "2010" and "2001" were compelling movies, but so different and the first was so much better, IMHO. "2001" was primal myth spiced with anthropology. "2010" was a fairy tale wrapped in a mystery/ adventure movie. Anyhow, if I got it right, here's a bonus question for you. Who were pictured on the cover of Time magazine in "2010"?
