Amy,

Save for the surcharge for payments it a good move. Since 2000ish I
had an account linked to paypal it takes 3-4 days for the transactions
to complete. The major upside of non personal accounts are 3 fold, you
can receive larger payments and credit card transactions. To lesson
the impact of the transaction fees Paypal offers a great money market
fund that keeps the value well(safe) and pays 4.88% and that compounds
monthly, also Paypal offers a Visa debit card that give 1% cash back,
down from the 1.5% cash back from when I signed up. I have no idea how
Paypal differs from the Google offering.
